What is injection molding?

Basic Principles
The injection molding process consists of four main stages: clamping, injection, holding and cooling, and mold opening with ejection. Plastic raw material is heated to a molten state in the barrel and injected into the closed mold cavity by the force of a screw or plunger. After a set cooling period for solidification, the mold opens to eject the finished part.
